Sharp words were exchanged during the press conference between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton .
We'll come back to this feud in sometime , lets talk Ferrari.
Although Lewis was in control of the race most of the time , the Ferrari's of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were within 8 seconds of the leader.Ferrari faded towards the end but they knew there was no point in trying to challenge the Mercedes.Ferrari are to bring updates in Bahrain and even more updates in Spain. If they continue to work the way they are and are able to navigate that well , decreasing the gap then we have a real championship fight on our hands.
Mclaren Honda's future genuinely looks brighter and there is hope that they might be able to challenge one day. Having both cars finishing this race is a big step that Mclaren have made. Unlike the Renualt engine where there seems to be no hope.Christian Horner could only shake his head when Danil Kvyat's engine blew up.
As far as the drivers go Kvyat disobeyed team orders that asked him not make it hard for Daniel to pass him.Eventually Daniel did pass Kvyat , but there was some resistance.
He may be just 17 years old , but he's got the moves of an experienced F1 driver. Some spectacular overtaking and amazing control of the car should have definitely shut his doubter's mouth. His move on Daniel Ricciardo and Marcus Ericsson were definitely satisfying to watch. Unfortunately his Renault engine blew up towards the end of the race and so he had to stop.Don't discount Max Verstappen at any given point. He's got a bright future in F1 ahead of him .
Williams were in a race of their own between teammates Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa. They were in clear air most of the time and couldn't challenge the Ferrari. Kimi Raikkonen starting behind both Williams cleared them within 3 corners. Williams seems like they still have work to do.
Just when we thought Pastor Maldonado was driving well , he crashed and yes it was not his fault. He spun quite a few times but that didn't stop him getting back into the points , but then he crashed (not news to any of us).
Coming back to the Rosberg vs Hamilton feud , Rosberg thought that Hamilton was deliberately reducing his pace during the race , thereby making Rosberg lap slower and more vulnerable to attacks from Sebastian Vettel. Despite crossing the line in a 1-2 finish an angry Rosberg hit out at Hamilton in the post race press conference.
Rosberg accused Hamilton of "Unnecessarily compromising his race by driving slower than was necessary".To which Hamilton replied "It is not my job to look after Nico's race.My job is to manage the car and bring the car back home as fast as possible and that's what I did.I didn't do anything intentionally to slow the cars up".
In between all of this was Sebastian Vettel who is just hoping to catch the mercedes as soon as possible . Who knows maybe he'll steal this year's championship while Rosberg and Hamilton to continue to fight.
Back to Back race weekends ahead .
I'll see you guys before Bahrain !
Until then Enjoy.
