Nico "Britney" Rosberg  Nico Rosberg's golden hair has given him the nickname "Britney" in reference to Britney spears since his days as Mark Webber's teammate in Williams. This nickname had reached a ridiculous point when in 2011 Rosberg found that his passport photo had been substituted with a picture of Britney spears (seriously look!).   2,  Crashtor Maldonado  Pastor Maldonado earned this nickname due to his excessive number of crashes.This nickname has led to the formation of many memes and twitter fan accounts dedicated to his crashes.                                                                3.   Iceman Kimi Raikkonen is popularly nicknamed as "The Iceman". Out of the current drivers on track there are quite a few "Dads".  1.Alaia Rosberg  Daughter of Nico Rosberg , Born 30th Aug 2015 . Nico says Alaia gives him wings on the track and she is one of the reasons why he wants to be more successful. He hopes that she will like and follow F1 and that she will be proud of what he's doing.  2. Robin Raikkonen  Son of Kimi Raikkonen , born on 28 Jan 2015. For Kimi family is always first. He says he wouldn't encourage Robin in F1 , but will let him do whatever he wants even if it were to be racing. Kimi is very happy being a father and now wants another child !.   3. Matilda and Emilie Vettel Daughters of Sebastian Vettel , Born September 2015 and Jan 2014 respectively .Very little is known about these two girls. Starting with the basics What is F1?  First of all F1 stands for Formula One , it is the highest class of single-seat auto racing sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de I'Automobile or as we know it FIA. Basically "formula" refers to set of rules that must be followed by ever participant. F1 had it's inaugural season in 1950. An F1 season consists of number of races called "Grand Prix" hosted by various countries. Number of races in each season can very but it generally 19-22 races. What about drivers and teams are there ? In 2015 we have 20 drivers and 10 teams or constructors. Each team has a maximum of 2 drivers that are allowed to participate in the championship ( they also have test and reserve drivers who sometimes replace one main driver during a practice session) Each driver has a chosen number that he carries on his car/helmet for the full season. The 2015 Russian Grand Prix was a rather dramatic and incident packed race. Nico Rosberg was having an almost flawless weekend , topping every session and getting pole position too , until his throttle pedal broke due to which he had to retire in the early stages of the race. Now this retirement for Rosberg means that he is 73 points behind his teammate and championship rival Lewis Hamilton. Adding to Rosberg's miseries Sebastian Vettel has now jumped him in the standing taking 2nd place in the championship from Rosberg. Nico Rosberg's title hopes just died with his throttle, I bet he'd like double points in the last race of this season. There were two safety car periods one following a accident involving Nico Hulkenberg and  Marcus Ericsson and the other following a high speed crash of Lotus' Romain Grosjean , This caused a mix up the tyre strategies with drivers opting to pit and the others staying out.   Sebastian Vettel had a clean race finishing in P2 .
